BanSatDB can be accessed at: http://webtom.cabgrid.res.in/bansatdb/.
Home tab includes description and importance of database with its usage toward biotechnologists and breeders.
About tab describe banana plant, its sequencing information and application of microsatellite markers.
Analysis tab is comprised of genome wide analysis of data that are shown graphically and tabular form in order to get an idea of the genome trend in banana.
Search is the main tab with two submenus: Predicted SSR and Experimentally Validated SSRs.
Experimentally Validated SSRs provides user to search for polymorphism in sequences i.e. whether the input data is polymorphic or monomorphic. It also include more customized search option with motif type (mono, di, tri, tetra, penta and hexa), repeat type and repeat kind (simple or compound).
Result page for Experimentally verified SSRs
Predicted SSR Search page provide user multiple search criteria i.e. chromosome and whole genome. Further, microsatellite search is categorized with motif type (mono, di, tri, tetra, penta and hexa), repeat type (by typing repeat motif) and repeat kind (simple or compound)
Advance Search option render more customized criteria to furnish desired results. It includes location of chromosome along with the number of markers required, range of GC %, range of base pairs and copy number. This Advance search page extends with the provision for insilico primer designing as per requirement using Primer3 tool.
